Mr. Goellner is Chairman and CEO of Center for Risk and Crises Management (CRC) and Deputy Head of the CRC Competence Center/Network: Security Policy Think Tank (09/2023). He is Member of the Cyber Security Platform of the Federal Chancellery of the Republic of Austria, Head of the working group: Supply Chain Risk Management of the RMA Risk Management & Rating Association e.V, Munich, Germany and Vice-President of the Cooperation for Digitalization, Challenge & Innovation Management, Volketswil/Zurich, Switzerland. He is lecturer for the lecture: production resources of the bachelor's degree program: International Sustainable Business at the University of Applied Science Burgenland, Eisenstadt, Austria, and for the lecture: Information and Knowledge Management of the bachelor's degree study program in “military information and communication technology management” (FH-BaStg Mil-IKTFü) at the University of Applied Military Sciences of the Austrian MoD, Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
He is expert, lecturer, researcher of cyber-relevant topics, risk and crisis management, supply chain networks/CRITIS-modeling and analysis, information management and knowledge development, smart economy and cyber relevant topics and author numerous publications in those fields.
He was Visiting Professor for Knowledge and Human Resource Management and Head of Research Institute for Strategy, Foresight, Risk and Innovation Management of Masaryk University, CZ of the Faculty of Economy and Administration (2014-2020) and for instance lecturer for Risk and Crises Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Science (2009-2017), Austria, and Theresian Military Academy of the Austrian MoD (2003-2010).
He was Chairman of the Standards Committee for Risk and Crisis Management at the Austrian Standards Institute Vienna and national delegate and co-author of the first ISO 31000 (Risk Management), Geneva, Switzerland (01/2002-11/2008).
